Headsquiggles.

all about me, post-May 12th, 1989.

Vickie Toro, Virginia-born Editorial Assistant at Comediva (huzzah!), just graduated from USC with degrees in I Don’t Know How to Do Practical Things Like Math and Maybe I Should Have Listened to My Mother (i.e. Cinema-Television Critical Studies and Narrative Studies).  She likes to spend her time thinking about deep things, getting distracted by not-deep things, and then gigglesnorting.  Usually she makes herself gigglesnort, but sometimes other people join in.  And that’s nice.  Though sometimes she’s pretty sure it’s not at the joke.  Which is okay.  To make her feel better, her dad, a retired Army colonel with a heart of gold, sends her articles about successful shy, awkward comedians.  To make her feel worse, her mother, a Korean with the heart of an ox, calls to tell her about how much money computer scientists like Jon, Vickie’s ex-beard, are making.  Then Vickie goes around impersonating her, which isn’t really rebellion because now her mother says Vickie owes her a “Jagooah.”  In short, Vickie loves everything about comedy: the joy, the laughter, the women, etc.  But, just in case, she’s trying to find a way to make Jane Lynch her suga-mama.
